To Our Valued Customers and Business Partners,
You may have heard that on Monday, August 4th, Steelcase Inc. announced its plans to be acquired by HNI Corporation, another prominent company in the commercial furniture industry.
Corporate Interiors has proudly been a leading Steelcase dealer for 40 years. Now, more than ever, we are committed to supporting our customers and business partners through this transition and into the future. Our diverse business model and robust capabilities uniquely position CI to continue guiding clients in creating effective, future-focused workspaces.
No Changes to Your Projects or Agreements
We want to assure you that there will be no change or disruption to any current or upcoming projects. Our partnership with Steelcase remains fully intact, and all existing agreements and contracts are still in place.
Continued Investment in Your Success
CI remains dedicated to investing in our people, spaces, and resources. This includes:
- A completely renovated Workspace Solutions Studio in Wayne, PA, opening September 10th
- Ongoing upgrades to our Philadelphia showroom at 1818 Market Street
These investments are designed to better support you and showcase the latest in workplace solutions.
Opportunities Ahead with the Steelcase + HNI Merger
We see great opportunity in this merger—for our customers and for CI. The combined entity will form the largest commercial furniture company in the industry, unlocking exciting new possibilities:
- Increased innovation and product development powered by the combined financial and strategic strength of HNI and Steelcase
- Greater digital transformation and enhanced customer experiences
- Complementary product portfolios with minimal overlap, and expanded manufacturing capabilities—potentially leading to faster lead times and stronger supply chain resilience
- Continued access to the trusted Steelcase brands and high-quality solutions you rely on
- CI will remain a leading Steelcase dealer and a key part of the HNI network moving forward
What to Expect Going Forward
The transaction is expected to close by the end of calendar year 2025, pending customary closing conditions. Until then, Steelcase and HNI will continue to operate independently. Steelcase’s headquarters will remain in Grand Rapids, Michigan, maintaining the brand’s strong roots and continued leadership.
We will keep you updated as the process moves forward. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your CI representative or any member of our team.
At Corporate Interiors, our mission remains clear:
We help you transform your workspace to enhance productivity and employee engagement—driving real business results.
We sincerely thank you for your continued trust and partnership. We’re excited about the future—and look forward to serving you for the next 40 years and beyond.
